Abby's spring field trip for the 3rd grade was to the World Bird Sanctuary. She could not have been more excited about a field trip. Owls, Owls and more Owls. To tell the truth, I was so excited to. Let's be honest, owls are pretty darn cute. Also, we have never been there.
There were tons of owls (and a few other birds too). We got to walk around an outside exhibit and look at all the different birds. Then we sat through a presentation where they showed us several of their birds. This was really neat. We were at an outside auditorium and the birds were free to fly around our heads. It was so neat and they flew so close to us it was hard to believe they didn't touch us. Abby was so excited to see them up close (me too).

because they were set back off the path quite a bit.
This activity center seemed so appropriate for Abby.
