Leah's reading skills

So Leah has jumped onto the reading bandwagon!  She is doing great.  She was one of only 2 kids in her kindergarten class to be tested for her reading level and to use the upper grades' reading program at school.  At the end of the school year, she was tested again and her reading level goes up to a 2.4. (2nd grader, 4th month of the school year)  We are so impressed and so proud of her.  Within the past couple of weeks she has really seemed to be enjoying reading to herself sometimes. 

Right now she is in the middle of reading Frog and Toad Are Friends to me. This is one of those books I remembered reading when I was little.  She picked it up at the library the other day and was anxious to read it.   I looked up this book and it is actually a 2.9 level book!  I was stunned.  She was reading this book so well.  Her level of reading just keeps expanding.  I know she feels proud as well. 

We can't wait to continue this journey as she gets more immersed in the world of reading!
