When Grandma Lucky passed away a year and a half ago, I was fortunate to be able to take home her thimble collection. Growing up, I can remember Grandma telling us where and from whom all the thimbles came. Some of them even came from me and my trips.
Unfortunately it took Greg and I this long but we finallly got the shelves put up in our bedroom and all the thimbles put back in place. It was reallly neat to go through all the thimbles as we were doing this. Some of them she actually wrote who gave them to her and a date, but some I just knew who it was that brought them to her by the destination.
I have enjoyed telling Abby about some of them and can't wait to share them with all three of the kids as they get older.
I would love to add to her collection by picking up new thimbles from new places we go. If you go anywhere and would like to add to the collection, you are more than welcome and I encourage it!
