(Some names are withheld to protect the innocent.)
We were watching one of Leah's friends (a little boy) for the morning. The kids played outside for an hour and a half when we decided to come in for a potty break and a snack. Leah and "her friend" headed for the bathroom to wash their hands while I washed Cameron's hands in the kitchen. I was trying to hurry with Cameron before the potty breaks started. Because of the gender differences, I wasn't sure how Leah would react. As I walked towards the bathroom, I heard, "Wow (boy's name w/held)! That's cool!" I walk in and Leah is watching him go to the bathroom standing up. He said to her, "Yeah! It can go up and down, too."
I didn't freak out too much, because I realized within the next year or so, Leah will be watching Cameron use the bathroom in a similar manner. She never mentioned it after the fact and never questioned why he was using the potty standing up.
