We had a very nice and smooth morning getting out of the house today. If only that was indicative of days to come but I know they all won't go smooth.
Leah was a little scared and cried some this morning when she got up. We talked about how much fun she would have and how no matter how scary or hard things got, that I would be there to help her. I told her that was the main reason I stayed home and didn't work. I wanted to be there whenever the kids needed me. She seemed to like that thought. Soon she was bouncing off to get ready. Once we were at school, I knew she was scared but she went in so brave and strong. I was so proud of her.
Abby didn't seem to be phased at all by the first day of school. To her it just seemed like another day. I think that has a lot to with being older and having a familiar teacher. She is going to do so well.
This year is going to be so exciting with both girls in REACH (the gifted program). They can't wait for that to start up in a couple of weeks.
The girls looked beautiful and so grown up in their First Day of School outfits!
