This was a really busy day for us. Not only was it Abby's 6th birthday, but we had also scheduled two preschool tours and Abby's Christmas (oops I mean "Holiday") party was today and Greg and I were both attending.
After visiting the two schools in the morning, we went to Abby's party at 2pm. Leah even got to go. Immediately after the party we were taking the girls to go see the movie The Princess and the Frog and then go out to dinner for Abby's birthday.
The party at school went really well. Leah got to sit at Abby's desk and have a snack with the big kids and even do the party craft with them. All the kids had on reindeer antlers and Abby had on a birthday crown with antlers stapled to it. It was really cute.
After the party we went to see the movie and get something to eat. The movie was over about 6pm. At first Abby just wanted Taco Bell for dinner but we were thinking something a little nicer and eventually talked her into Texas Roadhouse since we had a coupon from when she was Student of the Month. However, when we got there, it was going to be a 45-minute wait. So we went ahead and went to Taco Bell. She got her birthday wish!
It was a really great family day together celebrating Abby's birthday and spending time with the girls. Since Grandma watched Cameron, we were able to give them our undivided attention without chasing Cameron all over the place.
[Abby's nose is red because her teacher painted all their noses to look like reindeers.]
