Who is Leah?

I don't feel like I have anything profound to write, I just wanted to document about Leah's class for myself. I don't want to forget what kind of 2year old she was.

She takes a play class at the Rec Center on Wednesday mornings for 4 weeks. They do all sorts of singing movement activities and they keep active for an hour. She loves it, however I wouldn't necessarily know this by watching her in class. When we first get there, they have some time to free play and she runs around playing with all the equipment Ms. Millie has out for the class. She has no problem with that. Once we start and they are to do things in a group, she freezes up. If she isn't paying attention, she'll actually participate, but if she realizes what she is doing, or I take some kind of notice, she turns into "shy girl" and it takes me coaching and my own participating to get her back involved. Then if she falls, gets hurt or messes up, she tends to get embarrassed and hides in my lap. She interacts with Ms. Millie fine and doesn't have a problem with her assistance and she talks about it in the car. Sometimes, though, I have noticed she won't sing the songs from the class she just learned with me in the car. HMMM.

In day to day life, she is definitely more outgoing, physical and active than Abby was. That's why I signed her up for this. She needed something to do. I never, in a million years would have thought that Leah would be shy and not want to do something.
