Soccer girl

Abby had her first soccer practice tonight. She LOVED it!! She has been so excited to play since we signed her up in the spring.

Let's just say that she looked so cute in her socks to her knees running around out there on the field. One of the first times she kicked the ball, she fell flat on her butt. She screamed and cried running over to us but quickly brushed it off and "got back in the game". She remained pretty focused and stayed with the game. We really like her coach and the practice was very organized. It also didn't hurt that all the kids got a blow-pop afterwards. Nothing like bribing them with candy.

Abby and I went soccer shoe shopping last Monday and found a pair of shoes, the shin guards and socks for only $4.36. Awesome bargain shopping on my part, I must say. She got a pair of black and pink soccer shoes and had to show anyone and everyone that came to our house.

Honestly, we haven't been much of a "Soccer Family" (even though I grew up with it) but we may quickly become converted. Here's to a great season!
