On Friday, Abby wanted to play one of her computer games. I reminded her that the computer was very old and didn't work very well. She would need to take it a little bit at a time and try to be patient as she played. (The computer is from when Greg was in college and does not process well and tends to lock up all the time. She and I get very frustrated with it.)
Miraculously, her game loaded and played well. How do I know this? Well, we must have taught her to document well without realizing it. Let me explain. I went to the computer desk last night and saw a note sitting there in her handwriting. She was taking notes about how the computer was running. At the top of the page she wrote, "A Littl Bit AV time" (a little bit at a time). She also wrote, "Good", "Wrkcin" (working), "Dooin Good" (doing good), "Wrcin Good" (working good"), and "Its goin good". She was documenting how the computer was doing every once in awhile as she was playing her game.
Seeing as Greg and I have both worked jobs where we have had to do a lot of documentation for the government, we were quite impressed. She is headed for big things.
