In my feeble attempt to potty train Leah, we (meaning she) went without pants today. We had no place to go and not much to do so I decided to see how serious we could get about going pee on the potty and not in her diaper. So I declared it "Underwear Only Day" for Leah. However, Abby did join in and relished the thought of running around in her underwear all day.
Leah was excited to wear her big girl underwear. As she watched her shows, I brought out a plastic chair and a plastic mat for the floor. Then I thought, since the mat was down, I'd bring out the potty chair too. She was set to go.
Within the first hour she peed about 5 times. Then it tapered off. At one point she was coloring and watching Dora and did have an accident. We cleaned it up and went on with the day. She only had 2 accidents the whole time. AWESOME! She never fought me telling her to go potty and went often on her own, or whenever Abby was going.
Unfortunately we won't be home tomorrow so we will have to continue on Thursday. She is not ready to venture out into the real world diaperless yet. Soon, hopefully.
(Which reminds me that I have to go to Walmart tomorrow to get more diapers. AAGGHHH!)
