So I want to start blogging but first I didn't even know where to start. I knew if I googled “blogging” I would get tons of info. I want to do this because so much happens in our house every day. So many memorable things that it kills me that I can’t write it all down or document it in some way. Greg will say that my memory has never been very good. I don’t remember a lot of details and there are all those funny things the kids do and say that I can’t remember. I know this will only get worse as I get older, I mean more “mature”. Every time the girls do something cute, funny or noteworthy I think to myself that I need to write that down or get a picture but it just does not happen. (Cameron is just starting to do those cute things that I am going to want to start documenting now.) I want to change that.

I also want to start blogging because I want to get better at writing and expressing myself. I have friends who have blogs and they are such the wordsmiths. They just have a way with words and telling their stories that you just can’t help but be enthralled. (I had to look that word up to make sure it was the right one I wanted to use. To my surprise it was. It means…captivated).

I also thought it would be good to blog because we have a lot of family out-of-town. We don't get to see them much and they are always curious about what is going on with the Imperial Scheidts.

As I said I don’t know how to blog. How do you set one up? Where do you go to do this? How do you let people know about your blog? Who would I share it with? Can I make it private so the whole world does not have access to my life? WOULD ANYONE WANT TO READ ABOUT OUR LIFE? It’s not like they are making movies or reality shows about us. We are just your average family doing regular things with a few funny and memorable things mixed in.

So here it is. My first blog post. I will continue to add things as I remember. Some may be recent, some may be from months or years ago as I/we remember them and want to add them. I'll post pictures of the kids and other fun things as I go. So please be patient with me as I learn as I go. If anyone has suggestions or comments, please let me know. I want this to be fun, exciting and an interesting read for all.
